An exciting opportunity awaits an aspiring producer and potential investors to join an independent filmmaker on three micro-budget feature film projects. The approach is based on profit participation: once the initial investment is recouped, any profits will be shared among the team.

Film Projects

This first project is a compelling supernatural horror feature film set in modern-day UK, set in captivating rural settings in South Wales, including the cinematic landscapes of the Brecon Beacons. With establishing scenes in North Wales or Scotland. The film is rated 15 and designed to have strong commercial appeal, aiming to engage a wide audience with its thrilling narrative and atmospheric settings. We plan to spend three weeks in production with the ultimate aim of distributing the finished film to a wide audience.

Each film will be designed for an international audience but with a very British feel and targeting a 90-minute running time.

The Challenge of Funding a Film

Funding a film is a significant challenge, especially for independent projects. Securing the necessary resources to bring a creative vision to life requires dedication, persistence, and a strong network of supporters. Our budget for this first feature film aims to sit somewhere between £5000-£15,000, which will cover essential production costs while maintaining the high quality and commercial appeal of the project. By joining us, whether as a co-producer, actor, or investor, you will play a crucial role in overcoming these challenges and making this film a reality.

What We’re Looking For

I am looking for a passionate and dedicated co-producer to form a partnership and collaborate on creating micro-budget feature films in South East Wales. This is an unpaid opportunity, ideal for someone who is eager to gain experience, build a portfolio, and share the creative journey. We will be starting a company together, focusing on producing quality films.

About the Project:

Location: South East Wales
Scope: Collaboration on micro-budget feature films
Experience: Hands-on involvement in all aspects of film production

Responsibilities:

Actively participate in project planning and development
Assist with scriptwriting, casting, location scouting, and scheduling
Help manage the budget and resources efficiently
Be involved in day-to-day production tasks, including on-set support
Participate in post-production processes, such as editing and marketing

What We’re Looking For:

Aspiring Co-Producer: We are seeking a second co-producer who shares our enthusiasm for networking, storytelling and filmmaking.
Interest in Film Production: A keen interest in all aspects of production, from sourcing funding to managing logistics.
Proactive and Resourceful: Someone who is proactive and willing to engage fully in the project.
Professional and Reliable: An individual who values professionalism and is committed to the collaboration without immediate financial compensation.

Important Note: Reliability and commitment are crucial. Previous collaborators who were tardy, unreliable, or unwilling to engage with project details (e.g., reading outlines, taking video calls, or meeting) hindered progress. I am seeking a dedicated partner who values professionalism and collaboration.

Exterior Locations: The majority of our scenes will be shot outdoors, capturing the natural beauty and unique landscapes of South Wales.
Prosthetics and Make-Up FX: We have sequences that will feature impressive prosthetic make-up effects. These will be some of the more costly elements of the production, requiring skilled professionals to create and apply the make-up.
Stunt Team Involvement: Our film includes action-packed scenes that necessitate a professional stunt team. This aspect of the production will also be one of the more expensive, as it involves ensuring the safety and high quality of the stunts.
Props: some unique props from the art department will be required for the shoot.
Minimal CGI: We aim to limit the use of CGI, focusing instead on practical effects to create an authentic and immersive experience.
Rural Setting: The film is set in picturesque rural locations, providing a stunning backdrop that enhances the storytelling.
Natural Lighting: Most scenes will be daylit, utilising natural light to create a realistic and visually appealing aesthetic.
